"Customer service experience was truly awful."
While their rates might catch your eye, their support is seriously lacking and the app is just plain bad. I decided to close my account, only to find out they messed up my credit report. Now, I can't open any new credit lines or investment accounts. To top it off, I can't even get a CD because of that negative mark on the 'ChexSystems' report, which I had no clue about. I've tried to get this sorted, but they won't help at all. It's been a really terrible experience. I highly recommend steering clear of them.

"Customer service struggles with such a big company"
I had an automatic payment taken out even though I had already settled my bill. It's super frustrating! I got in touch on 1/17/23 to ask for a refund for that extra charge, and the rep told me it would be sorted out within a day. But here we are on 1/22/23, and I’m still waiting for that refund. On 1/20/23, I was told I’d get it that same day, but nope, nothing yet. Honestly, I’m worn out from trying to reach them. It feels like this company is just too big to handle decent customer service. I really wish someone had taken the time to make sure I got my refund, especially after all the calls and chats I've had.

"Customer support? What customer support?"
Are you on the hunt for a bank that keeps contact to a bare minimum? This one might just be your dream come true! Every time I try to get help, I end up stuck with the first level of chat support, which is pretty much useless about 80% of the time. They couldn’t even give me an email for someone who could actually help. A few weeks back, I asked about a simple setting on their site, and the chat rep just said, 'I don’t know.' It’s really frustrating that they can’t sort out something so basic. Their customer service is honestly awful. Plus, back in March, I ran into another issue where the rep didn’t even know what info was on their own website. It’s just absurd. I really wouldn’t recommend trusting this bank.

"Avoid this credit union at all costs!"
Just made the switch to this credit union a week ago, and man, do I wish I hadn’t. The service is downright awful, and my whole experience has been really disappointing. I’ve made up my mind to return to my old bank. Seriously, don’t put yourself through the same trouble I faced. There are plenty of banks and credit unions out there with better rates.

"Dealing with CCU has been a total disaster."
Dealing with CCU has been a total disaster. Time and again, they’ve inexplicably locked my checking account and debit card, which left me totally unable to get to my own cash. I had to sit around for a ridiculous three hours at a Co-Op branch just to get my own money, all due to some supposed "error" in their system. The customer service is just terrible; they’ll outright lie to you just to wrap up the call. Even when I tried using the chat feature in their app, the rep confessed they couldn’t even access their own system and told me to wait for a phone call. I give them a big fat 0/10 all around. There are way better banks out there that actually know how to take care of their customers, and CCU is certainly not one of those.

"Regrettably, I must rate this one star despite a few good points."
I’d give this a one-star rating (but I really don’t want to). I took out two loans with CCU, one for a boat and trailer that cost a pretty penny, and another for a Chrysler Pacifica after leasing it. Sadly, it’s been nothing but headaches. Over the last couple of years, I’ve made numerous calls to sort out different problems. Earlier this year, when I sold the boat and trailer, CCU failed to provide the titles to the bank of the new owner, even after I paid it off. It took ages, with the buyer's bank stepping in (not CCU), to finally get the titles reordered. After relocating to ND and trying to register our Pacifica, we hit a wall because CCU didn’t respond to the ND DOT verification. We waited endlessly, but nothing came through. We had to get a second temporary plate, and I reached out to CCU a few times for assistance, but they were totally unresponsive. Eventually, I made the decision to pay off the vehicle and stop using CCU altogether. However, it’s been four weeks since I paid it off, and I got a letter saying they don’t have the title, even though they were listed as lien holders before. The letter took away their claim to the vehicle. Unfortunately, the ND DOT won’t accept this as valid for registration and only takes a physical title. Now, in just a week, I’ll be without a vehicle because CCU has misplaced yet another title (that makes three). I called them for help, but they promised to return my call and never did. I’m at a loss on how to get this lost title replaced, and it should be CCU’s job as lien holders. Today, I moved all my money out of my accounts there and will close them once the transfer is done. Their customer service is just full of empty promises, and they never actually get back to you in the 24-48 hours they say they will. I’m beyond frustrated and just want to give a heads-up to others. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! BE CAREFUL!

"Avoid this service if you want reliable access to your accounts and decent customer support."
This credit union was once fantastic, but in the last decade, it has turned into a total disaster. I've wasted so many hours trying to fix an issue with my account, only to be let down time and again. I was told three times that I’d get a call back by the end of the day, but guess what? It never happened. I had to deal with being on hold for what felt like forever. To make matters worse, the branch close to me has shut down its lobby because they don’t have enough staff. Instead of opening just one day a week and closing another branch, they decided to keep the drive-through running. But let me tell you, the wait there is just brutal, with at least a 45-minute delay.

"This product deserves zero stars; it's obviously a scam from..."
I can't suggest this service in any way. It looks like a total scam from nerdwallet.com, and it seems like they're all part of this shady business. You really ought to avoid it, 'cause it'll just leave you broke with no hope of a refund. A big warning sign is the ridiculously long wait of more than two weeks just to get your account approved.
